The Chilko is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world, including some of North America's largest ice-fields, towering mountain peaks, alpine lakes, semi-arid grasslands, and extensive timber expanse including old growth, a very healthy migratory fish spawning habitat, an untouched wildlife inventory, and a beauty that can only be experienced.

The indicators of a healthy ecosystem are still intact. The salmon still spawn, the grizzly still wander, and the eagle still flies. We still have frogs.
